Some of you may have noticed I have not been around for a whileβ¦ rest assure, all is well in my world. π€π
I have just been contemplating if I am a part of the problem or the solution. π€π While my intention by posting is to provide valuable insight into self-healingπ«, from my own personal experience, I wonder if supporting an app that takes soo much of our time π and attention is actually helpful or not.π―
Today I went for a walk. I love π long walks in solitude amongst nature πΏπ³!!! I canβt tell you how many people are simply just going through the motions though ππΎβ¦ they are walking their dogsπ, or simply walkingπΆπΎor some were even riding a bikeπ΄, literally staring at screens! π€³πΎπ€·π½ I laughed a little out loud as I passed the ones walking their dogs because its funny to think about how the dog seems to be walking them! πΉ When the dog stops, the person stops and waits while entertaining themselves with their device. When the dog walks again, they follow! Its soo ridiculous! God forbid they use this valuable time with their doggy to provide them love and attention? ππ π Maybe a digital detox could be exactly what you need right now! How about looking at the skyπ«, the treesπ³, the plantsπ±, or listening to the sounds around you?π€ I understand presence is difficult these days with all the distractions we as human beings have created. I give loveπ and acceptanceπ€ to all who currently prefer their device to nature, as I too have been there. I just feel like itβs a problem when at any given moment we are aware of what someone else across the world ate for their breakfast today but are not aware of our very own thoughts, feelings and emotions. π―πβ¨
This past weekend I enjoyed a few days of eating. It was great!!! All 'mucusless' foods of course, like different fruitsπππ, roasted cornπ½, BBQβd zucchini, bell peppers, eggplantπ, okra, salad π₯etc. Its been tough getting back into the juice this week because once I start eating again, it all tastes soo good and I feel I canβt stop! BUT if I drink enough of the concord grape + lemon juiceπ·π (2-3 litres a day) there are no cravings! πβ¨ Today was a particularly difficult day for cravings though as I didn't drink enough of the juice during the day whiles I worked in a health food store that has its own organic, vegetarian hot food bar.π² (Noahβs on Bloor for those of you from Toronto.) The smells were intense! BUT it has been worth it to stay strong!π π½πͺπ½ While fasting I notice things like, an overall feeling of peaceβ¨ and contentmentπ, more energyπ«, more optimistic attitude πβ¦ on my walk today for example the senses were acute. βΊ I was aware of each and every sound in nature, from the birds singing πΆπ¦ to the squirrels πΏ playing in the trees to the acorns falling, it was amazing!π I love being so present to the moment!!! The colours π of the sunset π which made the clouds pink were vivid. The scents of the plants and flowers πΌ all so fragrant.
I donβt know many people who desire or have adopted a lifestyle similar to mine however I am grateful for where I am today. Less is really more! πβΊ
I am sending lightπ and loveπ to all of you who struggle with being with yourβselfβ. π I know how difficult it can be and how quickly one begins to feel lonely. But I also know that time with oneβselfβ allows for self-reflection and ultimately compassion and love of the self and therefore others. π
May all beings be happy. ππ€π
