Being With The SELF

Some of you may have noticed I have not been around for a whileโ€ฆ rest assure, all is well in my world.ย ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ™

I have just been contemplating if I am a part of the problem or the solution.ย ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ˜‰ย While my intention by posting is to provide valuable insight into self-healing๐Ÿ’ซ, from my own personal experience, I wonder if supporting an app that takes soo much of our timeย ๐Ÿ•›ย and attention is actually helpfulย or not.๐Ÿ˜ฏ

Today I went for a walk. I loveย ๐Ÿ’•ย long walks in solitude amongst natureย ๐Ÿฟ๐ŸŒณ!!! I canโ€™t tell you how many people are simply just going through the motions thoughย ๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿพโ€ฆ they are walking their dogs๐Ÿ•, or simply walking๐Ÿšถ๐Ÿพor some were even riding a bike๐Ÿšด, literally staring at screens!ย ๐Ÿคณ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿฝย I laughed a little out loud as I passed the ones walking their dogs because its funny to think about how the dog seems to be walking them!ย ๐Ÿ˜นย When the dog stops, the person stops and waits while entertaining themselves with their device. When the dog walks again, they follow! Its soo ridiculous! God forbid they use this valuable time with their doggy to provide them love and attention?ย ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ•ย ๐Ÿ™„ย Maybe a digital detox could be exactly what you need right now! How about looking at the sky๐ŸŒซ, the trees๐ŸŒณ, the plants๐ŸŒฑ, or listening to the sounds around you?๐Ÿคย I understand presence is difficult these days with all the distractions we as human beings have created. I give love๐Ÿ’•ย and acceptance๐Ÿค—ย to all who currently prefer their device to nature, as I too have been there. I just feel like itโ€™s a problem when at any given moment we are aware of what someone else across the world ate for their breakfast today but are not aware of our very own thoughts, feelings and emotions.ย ๐Ÿ˜ฏ๐Ÿ˜‰โœจ

This past weekend I enjoyed a few days of eating. It was great!!! All 'mucusless' foods of course, like different fruits๐ŸŠ๐Ÿ‘๐ŸŽ, roasted corn๐ŸŒฝ, BBQโ€™d zucchini, bell peppers, eggplant๐Ÿ†, okra, saladย ๐Ÿฅ™etc. Its been tough getting back into the juice this week because once I start eating again, it all tastes soo good and I feel I canโ€™t stop! BUT if I drink enough of the concord grape + lemon juice๐Ÿท๐Ÿ‹ย (2-3 litres a day) there are no cravings!ย ๐Ÿ˜Œโœจย Today was a particularly difficult day for cravings though as I didn't drink enough of the juice during the day whiles I worked in a health food store that has its own organic, vegetarian hot food bar.๐Ÿฒย (Noahโ€™s on Bloor for those of you from Toronto.) The smells were intense! BUT it has been worth it to stay strong!๐Ÿ™…๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฝ While fasting I notice things like, an overall feeling of peaceโœจ and contentment๐Ÿ•Š, more energy๐Ÿ’ซ, more optimistic attitude ๐Ÿ˜‰โ€ฆ on my walk today for example the senses were acute. โ˜บ I was aware of each and every sound in nature, from the birds singing ๐ŸŽถ๐Ÿฆ to the squirrels ๐Ÿฟ playing in the trees to the acorns falling, it was amazing!๐Ÿ˜ I love being so present to the moment!!! The colours ๐ŸŒˆ of the sunset ๐ŸŒ„ which made the clouds pink were vivid. The scents of the plants and flowers ๐ŸŒผ all so fragrant.

I donโ€™t know many people who desire or have adopted a lifestyle similar to mine however I am grateful for where I am today. Less is really more! ๐Ÿ•Šโ˜บ

I am sending light๐ŸŒˆ and love๐Ÿ’— to all of you who struggle with being with yourโ€™selfโ€™. ๐Ÿ•Š I know how difficult it can be and how quickly one begins to feel lonely. But I also know that time with oneโ€™selfโ€™ allows for self-reflection and ultimately compassion and love of the self and therefore others. ๐Ÿ˜‰
